Marwen Bounab
Marwen is a Cultural Studies Masters graduate from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities- University of Sousse. His dissertation entitled « Assessing the Legacy of Apartheid in South Africa : Critical Examination on the recent Student Protests » criticized the social, ethnic and economic inequalities and their repercussions on defining access to higher education.
He worked as a Field Assistant for the Tunisian Council for Refugees, a partner of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, for 10 months. He has also participated in two research projects: “Migrants in Countries in Crisis” and “Power2Youth: Freedom, Dignity and Justice: A Comprehensive Approach to the Understanding of Youth Exclusion and the Perspectives for inclusion and Global Change in the South and East Mediterranean."
He has co-authored two articles on the migratory journey of Syrian refugees in Tunisia titled “Syrian refugee journey inside and outside Tunisia: non-linear movement trajectories through family networks” & “Destination North Africa – Syrians' displacement trajectories to Tunisia”.
