MADAR Festival - Casablanca - 15-17/01/2025

The MADAR network is organising a Festival to showcase research findings and creative outputs from members of the network and associates around issues of migration and vulnerability across the central Maghreb region of Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco. Knowledge, Exchange and Impact activities will foster inter-disciplinary and inter-sectoral discussions and strengthen relationships for future impactful collaborations and research activities on migration. You can expect panels, debates and roundtables but also film screenings, exhibitions and art installations. 

Dates: 15th – 17th January 2025

The Maghreb Action on Displacement and Rights (MADAR مدار Arabic for ‘path’) Network Plus aims to improve the humanitarian protection of vulnerable, displaced people in contexts of conflict in the central Maghreb region of Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia. The network is funded by the UKRI AHRC Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) Collective Program (Network Plus).

MADAR's aim is to facilitate research collaborations and fund research projects that draw on the regional expertise of UK and Maghreb researchers; support for artistic and creative initiatives will be at the heart of our approach to responding to social and political issues related to migratory flows and displaced persons.
